Easter weekend has arrived, which makes it the perfect time to get crafty; we’ve rounded up the best in DIY’s and tutorials showing you how to decorate everything from your eggs to your house.
Our absolute favourite eggs were the brightly coloured typography ones over at Lovely Indeed; really imaginative and simple, and perfect for anyone who loves lettering. Close second were the gold marbled eggs at She Knows, with their pastel colours and metallic details, and we loved the galaxy eggs by Dream a Little Bigger and the DIY robins eggs at Honestly Yum. The most unusual project we found were the eggs at Relish, which had been dyed with silk ties!

Easter isn’t quite Easter without a good garland or length of bunting strung up somewhere in the house, and we’ve found plenty of amazingly creative ideas. First up, we loved the crochet egg garland by Skip to my Lou; bright colours and a simple pattern make it a quick and easy project for yarn lovers. We also fell pretty hard for the origami bunny garland at Hello Bee – we love a good bit of origami, and these are so simple you could even get the kids involved. If you’re looking for something simple and effective, check out our folded paper Easter garland from a couple of years ago, and A Girl and a Glue Gun has come up with the genius idea of creating decorations from paint cards. Finally, if you love fabric but hate sewing, there’s a great DIY for a no-sew bunny garland at Atta Girl Says.

The best part about Easter is all the fun you can have with egg hunts, and we found some brilliant ideas for treat bags, baskets and buckets. The printable carrot and bunny treat cones at We Are Scout are brilliant, and really easy to make – we thought they’d be an ideal project for anyone with children. Our two favourite baskets were the mini baskets from At Home on the Bay, made by wrapping twine around a small paper cup, and the string Easter baskets at Tara Dennis which were beautiful and even had a handle! Another child-friendly project were the DIY glitter pails from Freutcake; glitter and ribbons – what more could you need?! Finally, the most adorable Easter bag award has to go to Probably Actually, who made some incredibly cute sleepy bunny goodie bags from a tutorial found at Mermag.
