Here at StickyTiger, we think one of the best things about the run up to Christmas is heading off to one of the hundreds of craft fairs and markets around the country; nothing beats wandering around in the crisp winter sunshine, hands warming round a steaming hot chocolate (or mulled wine!), picking out handmade gifts for our nearest and dearest. Today we’ve gathered together dates and times of some of the biggest and best events in London (we know, we know, they always get the best of everything!) coming up over the next few weeks – enjoy!

You Londoners are pretty lucky when it comes to Christmas events – there are so many, your only problem will be deciding where to spend your money! The Tate Modern are putting on a pretty impressive market between 20^th and 23^rd November, with crafters and makers tucked inside wooden chalets, offering anything from wooden toys to handmade decorations – there’s also plenty of places to grab some festive food and drink, a carousel and some Christmas tunes to add to the mix.

The absolute King of Christmas events, though, has to be the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland; held between 20^th November and 3^rd January (not Christmas day!), it includes an ice rink, magical ice kingdom, circus shows, Santa land and big wheel. The market holds over 200 stalls, filled with beautiful handmade gifts, decorations, food and drink.

For something a bit more low key, the Royal College of Art is offering visitors the chance to support independent designers and makers with their annual Christmas fete. Find beautiful textiles, ceramics, print and jewellery items at affordable prices, between 3^rd and 6^th December.

If you love all things rural and rustic, the Country Living Fair is being held on the 11^th to 15^th November (19th – 22nd November for Glasgow and 3rd – 6^th December for Harrogate) and covers pretty much everything you could possibly need for a handmade beautiful Christmas; dress your home with exquisite decorations and sumptuous linens, then uncover handmade jewellery, ceramics, homewares, organic food and drink and gifts for children.
