It’s the school holidays, and February means cold temperatures and bad weather – which makes it the perfect time to get crafting with the kiddos. We’ve scoured the web for some great projects designed with little hands in mind, and have featured our favourites below – pass the PVA!
Puppets
Making puppets is a great idea; not only is it a fun activity in itself, but there’s also the opportunity to make a theatre once they’re finished. From vegetable finger puppets to traditional animals, and retro themed glove puppets, the possibilities are almost endless!

Toilet Roll Creatures
Anyone with children knows that toilet rolls seem to disappear at a rate of knots, so it’s lucky that the inner cardboard tubes have so many crafting uses. From making dancing string puppets to jointed snakes and colourful fish, by adding a selection of tissue paper, washi tape and paint, you and the kids can take your rubbish from waste to wonderful.

Dressing Up
All children love dressing up in some form, and the best way we know of to create a disguise is by making a simple mask; from felt superheroes to lavish headdresses and simple paper masks, it’s a great way to mix materials and stretch the imagination.
