This week is the official Random Acts of Kindness Week; seven days when we’re all encouraged to step out of our comfort zones and spread a little love to the people around us. From a kind word to a surprise gift, RAK week is the perfect time to make others feel good – so we’ve come up with a few great crafty ideas for projects that will almost certainly put a smile on anyone’s face. Bring Someone in from the Cold The weather lately has been awful; cold, rainy and generally just horrible. To brighten up someone’s day, knit or crochet a simple scarf or wrap, and leave it in a public place with a gift tag declaring that it’s there for the taking. Make Someone a Quirky Badge There’s nothing nicer than receiving an unexpected surprise; from a bunch of flowers to something more eclectic, it can really brighten up an otherwise ordinary day. A colourful FIMO badge is a great little gift, and couldn’t be easier to make – simply choose your colours and shapes from our huge selection, assemble your design and fire in the oven at the given temperature. Once cooled, attach your pin-back using strong glue and leave to dry – then place safely in a small envelope or box, add a gift tag and either leave in public somewhere unexpected, or give it to one of your nearest and dearest.
