Valentines Crafts Roundup

Superficial Girls Elbow PatchWith Valentines Day just around the corner, the crafting world is going mad for everything love-related; hearts, flowers, garlands and candles are everywhere. Today we’ve rounded up our favourite Valentines craft ideas and DIY tutorials, to help with ideas for everything from decorations to gifts.

We loved the tutorial over at Martha Stewart for the crayon hearts window display; made using waxed paper and crayons, it’s a really simple craft that will jazz up your windows in no time.

If you want to look the part, try adding some heart-shaped elbow patches to your knitwear with the DIY over at Superficial Girls. They’re made of felt (one of our favourite fabrics here at StickyTiger!), so there’s no hemming required. Hurrah!

The tutorial for easy heart charms over at Purl Soho won us over in an instant; really quick and easy to make, these charms can be attached to zips on bags, washbags and even clothes, or strung up into a garland or given as a gift. Lovely!

If you’ve already made our clay place settings, add some more love to your table with the air dry clay heart bowls over on the Hobbycraft blog. Super simple to make, they can then be painted, decoupaged or decorated with Sharpies to finish the look.

We found a great DIY for decorating jam jars over at Adorable Home; wrapped in decorative paper and tied with twine, they could be filled with anything from sweets to tea lights.
