Alloys — a brand new type of metallic ink from Tim Holtz® at Ranger — are a reflective metallic acid free ink specially formulated with unique metal powders.
You'd be forgiven for mistaking these for Tim Holtz Alcohol Mixatives, but they actually work very differently. Whereas Mixatives blend and float when mixed with Alcohol Inks and Blending Solution, Alloys create intense fragmented metallic highlights, almost like pieces of metallic leaf. We recommend watching a portion of Tim Holtz's demo below, so you see the difference for yourself.
Like the alcohol ink range, you can use it on Alcohol Ink Yupo®, Alcohol Ink Cardstock, Gloss Paper and other surfaces, such as metal, glass and glazed tiles and more.
'Gilded' is one of the five metallics in this range.
Safety note: Ranger does not recommend using Alloys or other items from the Alcohol Inks range in spray bottles, as they contain alcohol and should not be airborne.
